A couple of days before when I had a chat with my PG owner’s father in law, I learnt that the Ayyappa temple next to our PG was actually owned by their trust and they go to Sabarimala almost every month. They are having a plan to visit Sabarimala this weekend too. So I expressed my interest even though I have not taken the mala. So without mala, I wouldn’t take Irumudi but go via North Gate. On Saturday, I purchased a jacket piece from a store in Konappana Agrahara and then we started our journey to Sabarimala through Hosur, Salem. We had a quick dinner near a restaurant in Salem and then after a night long trip, our car reached Pampa at around 6 AM. After a quick dip in Pampa and during the wait for other devotees to get ready, I also completed writing the ‘Om Sri Sai Samarth’ from the holy atmosphere of Pampa itself.
We started trekking up the hill at around 7 AM and reached Sannidhanam by 9.30 AM. After completing all the darshan we started back at around 1 PM. The down journey was little tiresome and again we had to search for the vehicle which had got parked after RTC Parking. That is around a km away from Pampa. The long unabated walks made me little uncomfortable and was feeling sick during the return journey. So for dinner the driver stopped in a restaurant which could serve idlies without much spice somewhere near Ottanchatram. Towards morning we went to Hosur Hanuman temple. After darshan we reached Electronic City at around 10 AM.
