Today evening I started a bit early at 5.15 from work and took the Banasankari bound bus. After maneuvering through the traffic at Silk Board and BTM the bus reached Ragigudda around 6 PM. After finding a place to leave footwear, I walked through the temple. The temple has a beautiful layout of different sannidhis. A beautiful pillayar sannidhi, santoshimath and Annapoorni. We can drop rice near Annapoorni and it falls through Her hands into the drum kept below.
Hanuman sannidhi is located on the hillock along with Sri Ramar and Sri Shiva. After having darshan of all sannidhis got down the hill. They gave kalkandu prasadham and also puliyogare. It looked like there was Sundara Kandam upanyasam going on in the temple hall.
The temple is quite near to Ragigudda bus stop and is a must-visit for anyone coming to Bangalore.
Today was a holy saturday. Initially I had a plan only to visit Thirumalagiri temple in JP Nagar. So I started in the evening around 5 PM. I got a bus to Roopena Agrahara and from there switched to a Banashankari bound bus. I got down near JP Nagar. Searching for the route for Thirumalagiri spotted another temple — Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple in JP Nagar Phase 1. They also gave green banana fruit as prasadam here. After having darshan here walked down the street towards Thirumalagiri.
There was a bit of crowd and had darshan of the Lord after 6.30 PM Maha Arathi. In Tirupathi we can not stand near sanctum sanctorum for long.. That gap was fulfiled here. I was able to stand for a long time having a divine glimpse of the Lord. The Hanuman was having vadamala. There was some vada and puliyogare distribution too. The Ganapathy in this temple is beautiful. The Yoganarasimha sannidhi was simply majestic.
After completing the darshan started back to signal to catch the bus towards Madiwala and then back home.
